Dress Code
The Vancouver Golf Club’s dress code is strictly enforced, your cooperation is appreciated.
Members are responsible for the appropriate dress of their guests.
Clothing Not Permitted
The following apparel is not to be worn anywhere on the premises:
- rugby pants
- tennis shorts
- cut-offs
- gym shorts
- jam or basketball style shorts
- multi-pocketed (cargo) pants or shorts
- tank tops
- strapless tops
- sweatshirts with slogans, numbers and /or offensive illustrations
- caps with commercial logos or worn backwards
On the Golf Course and Practice Facilities
Gentlemen (of all ages)
Appropriate golf slacks or shorts which must be no more than six inches above the knee from the floor when kneeling. Collared shirts are preferred; however, mock neck shirts with a collar band of at least 1½ inches are acceptable. All shirts must be tucked in at all times with the exception of shirts having a straight-cut, finished hem and a full-buttoned front.
Socks must be knee or ankle length (not more than 3 three inches above the shoe), not sports socks folded or rolled down.
Appropriate footwear for golf must be worn on the golf course. Golf sandals are acceptable with or without socks. A soft spikes only policy is in effect from April 1 until September 30.
Baseball style caps or visors are permitted on the lower floor and may also be worn outside on the patios. Baseball style caps and visors must be worn in a forward position.
Denim of any kind is not permitted on the Golf Course or any of the practice facilities.
Ladies (of all ages)
Appropriate tailored golf slacks, culottes, skirts, dresses, skorts and shorts, which must be a maximum of eight inches above the knee from the floor when kneeling.
All tops must have either collars or sleeves. Ladies may wear a mock style collar and a sleeveless shirt. Designer shirts may be worn untucked; however, bare midriffs are not acceptable. Tank tops are not permitted.
Appropriate footwear for golf must be worn on the golf course. Golf sandals are acceptable with or without socks. A soft spikes only policy is in effect from April 1 until September 30.

Upper Level: Grill Dining Room, Patio & Banquet Rooms
Respectable golf attire and casual sportswear is permitted, however, track suits are not acceptable for evening dining. Baseball style caps and visors may only be worn outside or on our patios. Metal spikes are prohibited but soft spikes are permitted throughout the clubhouse.
Golf Fitness Centre
Appropriate athletic attire, including t-shirts, shorts, track suits and running shoes.
No flip-flops, sandals, muscle shirts, cut-off or jam shorts. Fitness attire is not permitted other than in the locker rooms, fitness centre of the direct hallways between the two.
The golf professional staff and the clubhouse staff, including Club Captains, are instructed to administer these rules, and are empowered to refuse play on the course and/or admittance to the clubhouse facilities.
